Degrees and experiences obtained outside Quebec


The responsibility to demonstrate that the degrees, certificates and experiences acquired outside Canada are equivalent to the Canadian degrees belongs to the candidate. There are a number of resources available in Canada that allowing workers submitting job applications to carry out this evaluation.

The government of Canada has implemented the Foreign Credentials Recognition (FCR) program, in cooperation with the provincial governments, the professional licensing body and the employers. This recognition program has developed an integrated and complete strategy that has the participation of four federal ministries in order to eliminate the obstacles to the professional insertion of workers trained outside Canada. The program's goal is to ensure that the foreign credential recognition processes throughout the country are equitable, accessible, uniform, transparent and stringent.
